I went to see my doctor today after making an appointment. I had several medical concerns to discuss with him, as my health has been getting worse and I need to find the root cause. However, he rushed me out after just 10 minutes, telling me I needed to book separate appointments for each concern. He didn’t even ask how I was feeling overall. I left feeling dismissed and invisible, like he didn’t care at all about my physical or mental health. It was really upsetting and left me feeling even more anxious and alone.

According to our system, you had booked a 15-minute emergency appointment for the assessment of an urgent and concerning issue. The doctor examined you in the presence of a nurse and issued two referrals to ensure a prompt follow-up.
After approximately 14 minutes of your consultation had passed, you informed the doctor that you also had several other long-standing concerns that you wished to explore further. You were informed that these issues can certainly be assessed, but to maintain proper medical quality, a separate appointment is required. This allows time to thoroughly review your medical history, conduct a full physical and mental examination, assess your symptoms based on medical knowledge and experience, order appropriate tests, and plan further investigation and treatment.
Unfortunately, this cannot be done in one minute, as you requested. You were advised to book a new appointment for this purpose, which you have not yet done.
